Fela!

 Look at your local theatre listing guide for Thursday, January 13, 2011 and see if it is carrying Fela!, a show from London's National Theatre.  In Calgary you can catch it at Westhills, Crowfoot and Chinook. For you folks in Salmon Arm  you have to go to the Galaxy in Vernon.  Silver City Cineplex in Victoria, Rebecca. Go to these sites for reviews of the show.

  1. I hope you made it to see the performance. I see I have missed it, but thank you for the reminder that we can do a lot of "world travelling" by just heading to a movie theatre in our area.

    David and I went shopping last night for new snowpants, another touque, another set of gloves, and a winter jacket with a zipper that doesn't get stuck. He came back in from the snow this morning very warm, but needing to come in because his hands were "slobby". I think that means he was working hard enough to sweat into his gloves. I asked him what slobby meant. He said, "Feel my hands. They are too soft."

    We have learned from sledding playdates with other more snow-experienced 5 year olds that it is imperative to bring 2-3 sets of gloves to the hill because they tend to be the main item that gets wet from the outside or "slobby" from the inside.
