Our Old Family Flag

From Catherine:

Hebe resurrecting our old family flag.

Might need to make a new one with her.

I'm sure she'd have something silly or fun to add.

  1. Your family flag reminded me of your family photo that was on the mantel when Hebe first came to your family. Remember? She had someone get a photograph of her and put it on the frame -- updating it to reflect the new family configuration.

Where did she find this old family flag.

And what would a new one look like.

When I drive up Crowchild Trail I see large flags outside of the 10,000 Villages Shop, the shop that sells fair value goods from all over the world. I think it is staffed by the Mennonites.

I wondered what a family flag would look like for me.

David Camps made a flag for one of the Salmon Arm Summer Festivals and it hung from a lightpost all summer. Then it was returned to him and his mom made it into a bag: lovely colours, sturdy, rain-proof and weathered from the two months that it hung outside.

If a family flag had a slogan on it, would the whole family have to agree on the slogan. Moiya has been sending me slogans. One was posted on a board and said, "Don't judge me buy my relatives." If Kelvin and I had a family flag I think I would have icons on it -- electronic ones, for I don't know how we would get along without our 3 phones [a family can nevere have too many phones], my computer, his telecare eqipment [complete with a wrist bracelet], the c-pap machine, the blood pressure unit. I can see now, we are going to make a large size flag. I wonder if anyone would recognize it us as, or would it look like the flag of any successfully maturing couple?
