A Small Puddle

The spring is not really here until all of the small patches of snow are off of the road.

Still water is pooling in small parts of the road.

While the adults are at the burn pile tending the fire, Betty is free to roam the side of the road.

By now her boots have been filled up with water, having waded in the stream.

So she runs through puddles in her flip-flops.

  1. And she sings as she runs through the puddles. I will try to find the picture I have of her where she has mud across her forehead and down her temples. That mud really splashes high.
